BeniSource was founded in 1987 as a division of Benicor Associates, Inc. devoted to outsourcing. The first FSA reimbursement checks were sent to participants in January of that year, making BeniSource the oldest continuously operating TPA of cafeteria plans in the mid-Atlantic area. CBIZ purchased Benicor Associates, Inc. in 2001, making BeniSource a national provider of outsourcing services.
